The Nilgiris Mountain Train (12 kms from Coonoor Station) slowly meanders through a narrow track along tea plantations and takes you to the Kurumba Village resort. Kurumba means tribe and this resort is located in Kurumbadi. Cottages diffusing into spice gardens that grow nutmeg, cloves and pepper, Kurumba village resort has also enriched the sanctuary by planting other trees such as Jackfruit, Rosewood,, Jacaranda and Spathodia.
