Spiti means many things to many people. Spiti absorbed us. For some people its cold desert where temperature goes down to sub zero in winter. For some others its the land of rocky mountains in hundred different shades. Spiti valley invited us with such depth that we felt that there is no going back from them in a life time.

Situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh along the Western Himalayas, Spiti Valley has Ladakh in its Northern side and Tibet to its east. Originally known as "Piti" before the Tibetan dialect influenced the local language, Spiti is a land of stunning beauty for some people. For some others, it’s the cold desert up in the Himalayas where you find the peace within yourself.

From the laid back traveller to the most adventurous, Spiti has something to give to everyone. With a population of around ten thousand people, the valley is immersed in Buddhist traditions and the influence of neighbouring Tibet is quite visible. As in all other destinations we work, The Blue Yonder offers holidays that are managed Responsibly in Spiti in consultation with the local experts
