Wayanad and the Nilgiris. A journey into the wilderness of South India,
this holiday takes you through a sensitive eco-system along the Ghat
sections, dense forests and mountain ranges.
While exploring the flora and fauna of the region, this trip also
provides insights into how human intervention has affected the
environment, forest area and livelihood of adivasis [tribes]
on the socio-economic and cultural front. An opportunity to have
face to face interactions with the local forest communities who are the
saviours of these forests! It will give you a better understanding about
local traditions, customs and rituals of people who live on the fringes
of the forests in this path. Peppered with legends and folklore, the
local community members will enchant you with their knowledge of the
nature they live.
Led by expert naturalists of the local areas, the Green Triangle
explorations also introduce you to a variety of wildlife that are
endemic to the Western Ghat regions. This includes Malabar Giant

comfort in terms of accommodation. This ranges from
Plantation accommodations, riverside resorts, wilderness camps, jungle
lodges, homestays, tree houses and eco lodges.
