Duration: 3 Nights / 4 Days
Route: Johannesburg - Greater Kruger - Johannesburg.
Tour Type: Fly-in Safari
Group size: 2 adults

Day 1
Fly from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit in the Lowveld of Limpopo province, and transfer to the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which shares an unfenced border with the Greater Kruger National Park.
Your base for the next three nights is Umlani Bushcamp, a classic African safari camp that accommodates just 16 guests in traditional African reed and thatch huts. Umlani's philosophy of luxury, simplicity and getting back to nature is enhanced by the romance of operating without electricity. Enjoy the warm atmosphere of candlelight and oil lamps and open-air bush showers heated by wood fires. (Photographers have no fear: you can charge your batteries and laptops in the camp office!)

Days 2 and 3
For the next three days you'll play hide and seek with Africa's wild inhabitants in the savannahs and forests of Kruger. The guides at Umlani are from the local Shangaan tribe, renowned for their outstanding skills as rangers and trackers, and they go to extraordinary lengths to give you memorable encounters with the Big Five and their. You will take two game drives each day, one at dawn and one in the late afternoon, using open top Land Rovers which give a high vantage point from which to scan the surroundings for animals.
In between game drives there is always a ranger on hand to lead you on a walk through the bush surrounding the camp. Few experiences in this life compare to the thrill of tracking big game on foot, and as there are no fences to separate Umlani from the vast expanse of Kruger you may not have to look far: guests commonly see leopards in the trees nearby, and elephants sometimes wander in to drink from the camp's pool!
As the cool of evening descends, sit around the camp fire with a glass of wine and share stories of the day's sightings with your fellow guests.

Day 4
After your morning game drive and breakfast you will head back to Hoedspruit Airport for your return flight to Johannesburg. Feel free to spend the trip dreaming about your next trip to the majestic wilderness of Kruger!
* Airport shuttle transfers to and from OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg are available on request.
