DhakaAfter breakfast you will be taken to visit Grameen or BRAC Headquaters.Both organizations are lead by Global pioneers in micro credit and social Enterprise. Dr. Muhammad Yunus is a world-renowned Bangladeshi economist and founder of the Grameen Bank.On the other hand BRAC is a development success story, spreading solutions born in Bangladesh to 10 other countries around the world – a global leader in creating opportunity for the world’s poor. What started out as a limited relief operation in 1972 in a remote village of Bangladesh, has turned into the largest development organization in the world. Creating abundance using communities’ own human and material resources resulted in lasting change. The work of these mammoth organizations have set the tone for the thousands of social enterprises creating an ecosystem in which the poor have the chance to seize control of their own lives.
After Visiting Grameen or BRAC we will leave for field visit and talk to borrowers to experience first hand as how the people innovate and have learnt to maximize their resources, investments and grown their micro enterprises into successful businesses.
Manikganj/DhakaA 2 hr drive from Dhaka takes you to a village where you see “self-reliance” at work. It is a community where you get to compare the different programs run by the social enterprises and how it impacts the villages.

Location based on what program is chosen for exposure/volunteer workDrive to location of the program of choice and engage with the field operator and benefactors.
Cox’s Bazar the trip ends with a treat to the longest unbroken stretch of natural beaches in the world. This town gets its name from British-Indian Captain Hiram Cox in the 18th century, an officer of British East India Company whowas know for his social work in this coastal area.
After lunch, you get to experience the unique mix of conservative muslim communities and Rakhaine (Burmese origin) Buddhist Communities in Coxs. A boat ride will take you to Moheshkhali to meditate at the Buddhist monastery at "BoroRakhaine Para".
This is followed by an evening visit to the Burmese Market called the AggameddaKhyang, has silver, and Burmese tribal sarongs, Arakanese style and a local baul music ektaar performance on the beach under the moonlight after dinner.
Cox’s Bazar/Dhaka after an early breakfast you will visit one of the fish markets to see what the tides brought in. The large piles of the freshest seafood, fishes, king prawns just last a few hours. The colorful wooden boats that bring them are docked a few hundred yards away from the fish market.You can pick your own seafood and have the restaurants on the beach cook them for you for lunch on a secluded beach.
Fly back to Dhaka in the afternoon at 1:30pm
