Spice Village, a CGH Earth Experience hotel, is based in the hilly tea growing region of Thekkady. It offers the experiences of spices that the region is famous for- pepper and cardamom and is also located at the gateway of the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Its naturalists are experts at the flora and fauna that the region holds. Spice Village itself is constructed like a tribal village and has several varieties of spices and fruits growing in its sprawling grounds.

2) Deluxe Cottages
Both kinds of cottages at Spice Village are inspired and created from the local designs and materials. Elephant grass abundantly available in the Periyar Tiger Reserve is used as the roofing for these wooden cottages and it’s an interesting experience to observe the local craftsmen when they rethatch the cottages.
Standard Cottages spread over 339.5 square feet while Deluxe Cottages which comprise a bedroom and living room are spread over 380 square feet.
Culinary Experiences:
Tamarind Tree: A multi cuisine restaurant which serves food that uses a lot of the organic produce grown in the farm at Spice Village, as well as spices that give the place it’s name

Dinner – 7.30 p.m. -10.00 p.m.
50 Mile Restaurant: A specialty restaurant that serves food that uses ingredients that are sourced from within 50 miles of Spice Village. This restaurant is only open for dinner.
Seats: 25 people.

Tea Shop: An al fresco garden facility that remains open through the day to serve a large variety of tea, spice and herbal infusions and short eats
Dinner – 12.30 p.m. -6.00 p.m.

Swimming Pool: 11mt. long, 6 mt. wide, 3ft.- 7ft. deep with 1 .8 lakh litres of oxidized water.
