SwaSwara A journey to the self. SwaSwara in Kannada means “My own rhythm”- the music of my soul and is designed for the discovery of the self. Created for wellness holidays, your time here is designed to be transformative.
Nestled in the serene sands of the Arabian Sea the location makes for an ideal holiday- a pilgrimage to the self. This place gives you a chance to explore the Self and to Release, Relax and Refocus.
Located on Om beach named so after its shape, neighbored by kudle beach and Town beach on one side and Half-moon beach and Paradise on the other, this splendid property is on 26.5 acres of land which includes a variety of flora and fauna which includes langurs and peacock.
About the rooms
Konkan Villas
Accommodation at SwaSwara consists of 24 self contained villas, built in local konkan style with laterite walls, coconut thatched roofs, red oxide tiled flooring- a place of new sunlight, of yoga and meditation, of days lived in simple beauty and natural harmony The only air conditioned portion of the villas are the bedrooms, the rest of the area comprising a bathroom, green lawns, writing and sitting area and the yoga deck are al fresco. Each Konkan villa measures 1160 square feet.
Culinary Experiences:
At Swaswara, you will offered only the freshest and the healthiest cuisine- the fruit of the land and sea cooked in a style local to Gokarna or even as far as East India. The platter abounds with fresh vegetables, fruits, fish and other seafood washed down with health drinks like the abundantly available Kokum juice or a variety of Indian wines if that’s your style. There is an interactive kitchen where the guests can watch the chef cooking and try their hand at it alongside. Our organic paddy fields and vegetable farms provide some of the ingredients that go into our offerings.
Kokum: Named after the famed fruit that grows only in this part of the world and has amongst its various qualities one that helps reduce body cholesterol, this restaurant offers colourful Thalis inspired by the coastal cooking style as also meals customized to individual body types for those guests who are on special Ayurveda or Yoga programs

Operates from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
The Beach Shack: An informal space where guests can enjoy short eats like sandwiches, wraps, salads, etc. while sunning themselves on the beach, very often dinners are served here too.
The Library and wine bar: An ideal spot to interact with the SwaSwara community over a glass of local wine. This opens out to the Open Air Grill Restaurant that operates in the evenings and offers sea grills. The library is also a spot to browse through what Indian literature has to offer. The library stocks books on Yoga, Ayurveda, Indian cooking, biographies and Indian and International fiction.
The pool pantry caters to the guests just out of an invigorating swim or a session of Aqua Yoga.
Meal Timings: Breakfast from 0800 hrs to 1000hrs
Lunch from 1300 hrs to 1430 hrs
Dinner from 1930 hrs to 2230 hrs
Swimming Pool: Measures 22 meters’ in length and 12 meters in breadth, it is 3 feet at the shallow end and 8 feet at its deep end. The Pool is open from 8.00 Am to 8.00 Pm.
