Spread over 70 acres of grasslands and mixed vegetation close to the Velavadar Black Buck Sanctuary, the lodge offers nature lovers a chance to view wildlife at close quarters. Velavadar Sanctuary was the private hunting grounds of HH Bhavnagar and today is a protected sanctuary, a haven for a large number of migratory birds and a designated roosting site for all the four species of Harriers. The cottages offered are large and spacious with an enclosed sit-out in the front. The raised verandah in the back overlooks grass lands and is a great place to relax and view black bucks , blue bulls and birds.
Large attached bathrooms with sunken bath, an outdoor shower with best modern fitting are a luxury after a day’s safari. While visits to the national park can take up most of your time, one can also explore Palitana, Lothal and Bhavnagar as day trips.
